          Hakkari is located in Eastern Anatolian Region. City has around 90.000 population. Hakkari hosted numerous civilizations in orderly, Medes, Persians, Seleucids, Abbasids, Seljuks, Mongols, Karakoyunlus, Aqqoyunlus, and Ottomans. Hakkari is famous for its nature.

  • Meydan Medresesi(Madrasah): The madrasah is located in the city center. It was built by İbrahim Bey in 1700-1701. It has two floors and an inner yard.
  • Kayme Sarayı(Palace): The palace is located in Şemdinli Bağlar Town. It was built by Seyyid Muhammed Sıddık in 1909-1911. That’s a two floored palace.
  • Nehri Taş Köprü(Stone Bridge): It’s located in Şemdinli Bağlar Town 13 km far from the city center. The bridge connects Nehri-Derecik-Iraq. It has 11 meters in height and 21 meters in length. It was built by Sheikh Muhammed Sıddık in 1898.
  • Berçelan Yaylası(Tableland): The tableland is available for nature sports such as mountaineering, skiing, and walking. It has magnificent flora and a view. You can also visit the Seyithan Buzul Gölü(Ice Lake) around the tableland.
